Adirondack Lakeside
Date: 2006Location: Lake Sunapee , NH
Working closely with the Owners and Architects, we removed a small inefficient cottage to build this Adirondack style house on a beautiful sloping lawn to Lake Sunapee . We managed to salvage much of the materials with many of the components, such as cabinets and appliances given to charity. (A tax deductable benefit to the Owner) Through out the home, there is an array of rich detailed paneling, including an impressive curved lower landing to the main staircase. Natural stone products were used for walls, fireplace and tile flooring. Custom wood moulding, trim and cabinets are built-in throughout. Some of the custom windows and detailed woodwork can be seen in the photos. As common practise for Ennis Construction, this home utilizes many of the current "green" products and proceedures, as well as being extremely well insulate, employing a super efficient heating system and energy efficient appliances.
